Seller's Notes:Beautiful, sturdy, high-quality rolltop desk for sale. Purchased new in the 1970s and still in excellent condition! Shows signs of wear but no significant damage or scratches. Solid wood with amazing craftsmanship - they don't make them like this anymore! Desk has LOTS of storage - 4 large drawers plus 2 very deep ones that can be used as filing cabinets (have small metal rods and empty folders). The space under the rolltop includes a huge flat surface as well as cubbies/shelves. Top of the desk can serve as a "mantle" for art, photos, etc. The desk even includes 2 pull-out additional writing surfaces over the drawers. Rolltops have a huge advantage of hiding computers, papers, and office supplies - and keeping everything organized in one place! This desk has been sitting in our living room and does not look like office furniture in the least. The desk comes with a matching wooden chair with light-colored fabric on the seat; however, this could very easily be reupholstered to match colors in the room. This desk has old-fashioned charm and modern functionality. It is a beautiful, stately piece of furniture that will last your lifetime.
