Vintage Saarinen Knoll Tulip Side Chairs (x6)

Seller's Notes:Listed for sale is a set of six Eero Saarinen for Knoll Tulip dining chairs with blue fabric seat pads (shown with a black seat cover). These are early armless examples from the 1960s and guaranteed as originals (see Knoll sticker image). The chairs retain their original finish and original upholstered seat pads. The condition overall is very good for early examples like this. There is some wear to the bases as noted in the photos. The customer may also choose to replace the foam or upholstery fabric as they see fit. The price listed includes all six chairs. These chairs are labeled underneath "BR51" which is consistent across authentic examples of this period and later into the 1970s also. The set was acquired from a mid century store in NYC, unfortunately it is now closed). Dimensions are 32 inches tall by 21 inches wide by 22.5 inches deep. The seat height is 18.5 inches

The Saarinen Tulip seating collection consists of an armchair and an armless chair, with swivel or fixed base. The chairs are available with either an upholstered seat cushion, or fully upholstered inner shell with seat cushion. The swivel stool with an upholstered cushion completes the collection. The KnollStudio logo and the signature of Eero Saarinen are located on the underside of the base.
