This bed frame was dark and worn from many years of use; some of the mattress supports were loose or had split, and the veneer had cracked and split along most of the side rails, but the quality of the materials and craftsmanship was unmistakable. It was manufactured in the USA in the late 1940s of solid wood and mahogany veneers and still had the original Bassick brass-plated steel wheels on the bottom of each poster. The bed frame was thoroughly inspected for safety and strength, was given a deep cleaning, and all repairs were made before it received a head-to-toe makeover. The makeover included paint, fringe, silver aluminum leaf, padding, and a specially selected cotton-linen fabric. The full-size bed frame is part of a set with a nightstand and a matching doll bedframe. I prefer to sell all three together; however, for the right price, I'm willing to break up the set. Note: The nightstand is marked as manufactured by the Drexel Furniture Company in 1948; however, the bedframe did not have such markings.
