Rattan Round Chair
Product details
Seller's Notes:Chair design by Isamu Kenmochi. The Rattan Round Chair from 1960 was selected for inclusion in the permanent collection of The Museum of Modern Art in 1964. It is now widely known through mass-market reproductions sold at inexpensive Asian emporiums. This Rattan Round Chair is an authorized reproduction. In its original form it embodies Kenmochi's design principles, illustrating the perfect match of machine and hand, the human and the natural. The natural warmth and softness of rattan is translated into a stable construction that enwraps the sitter.
