Seller's Notes: Two Knoll x Fritz Hansen white swivel chairs. From the Series 7 collection designed by Arne Jacobson in 1955, these chairs are iconic modern furniture history. The unique shape is timeless and incredibly versatile, displaying character without overpowering the eye. The chair is made from 9 layers of pressure moulded veneer for strength, flexibility and durability despite its slender form. This is the most popular design within Fritz Hansen’s chair collection. The height-adjustable 3117 swivel chair features an elevated five-legged steel base with high-quality aluminium capped castors, originally designed by Jørgen Rasmussen in 1965 for the KEVI chair. The castor’s twin-wheeled design improves maneuverability, and customers have a choice of hard or soft wheels that glide smoothly on a range of surfaces without damaging the floor. We have loved these chairs for many years and are parting with them because we are converting our guest room (where they currently are) into a nursery and no longer have the space.
