Hemmingsen 1940's Danish Bench
Product details
Seller's Notes:The furniture consists of a long bench. The foundation is wood and the upholstery is made of good quality material. My grand mother had it made in the early 1940s at a local cabinet maker, Hemmingsen, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The style is typical for this time; simple and elegant format, with some discrete carvings in the wood. There are still some remains of the original mark from the maker underneath. The furniture stands in its original upholstery and the foundation is in good shape. There are no cracks in the wooden parts, and the springs etc. on the bench are still fully functional. The upholstery on the bench should probably be changed as there are some marks of wear and tear.
