Made by Julie Gibb, maker/designer specializing in functional hand-blown glass. Julie Gibb produces work that is fine and functional, in a particularly striking palette of colors like avocado and gray, not usually seen in the glass. Production is limited. The process is a traditional Italian glassblowing technique. All bowls are hand-blown without the use of molds. The imagery is hand screen printed onto decal paper with glass enamels. Once the screen is printed, decals are made and applied to the glass forms, and then re-fire them in a kiln. This process enables to achieve printed imagery and or pattern, which is permanently fused to the surface of the glass. “Life is too short to be neutral” - Julie Gibb NOTE: We are in the commercial building.
