Seller's Notes:Gothic Cabinet Craft of New York hand builds unique wooden furniture. This piece is a slim cabinet with two doors on the front which they call their "jelly cabinet." Apparently they have a pantry function in mind, but it also works well for books, office supplies, or as an entertainment console. It creates the impression of being a substantial piece of furniture, while at the same time being surprisingly compact. Protruding only 13 inches from the wall, it is ideal for small spaces where you don't want to overcrowd the room with large furnishings. It has three interior shelves that can be positioned as you like. I used this one as an entertainment console when I lived in a small Manhattan apartment. A 20 inch flatscreen TV fits perfectly, with room for speakers and books below. This item retails for 639 at Gothic Cabinet Craft, unfinished. For the finished piece it costs 808. The stain I chose is a handsome, dark color. I believe it is the finish they call Special Walnut. This is a used item. It has a few minor dings and scratches. I made a hole in the back at the bottom to accommodate power cables for a television and some speakers. The hole is rough-hewn and could stand to be cleaned up/finished a little better, but it on the backside and doesn't show when the cabinet is in use.
