Plantation-grown hardwood is hand-finished with a rich dark brown stain lacquer and hand-waxed topcoat. 2 moveable shelves sit behind 2 separate French doors with 4 individual glass panes each." This beautiful media console is in good condition with normal wear and tear after 10 years. It does have some interior and exterior scratches, marks and blemishes, but not nothing major. The wood has natural "blemishes" and knots that show through the stain and add to the character. One such blemish has grown into a crack on the top left corner (pictured) but does not affect the integrity of the piece. It is very sturdy and heavy and has many years of use left. They don't make them like this anymore.
