Antique Oakwood Revolving Bookcase
Product details
Seller's Notes:Here is a useful, rare, and beautiful piece we hate to have to sell. It's an antique solid oakwood revolving bookcase or book mill, marked John Danner Manufacturing Co. It can rotate by the central iron rod, which rests on a cast iron base with underneath wheels. It has two tiers covered with slat sides and a tillable shelf on top for presenting books. Wear is commensurate with age of this piece, made in Clayton, Ohio, between 1910 and 1920. We love the patina. Even without books, it's a heavy piece and turns smoothly.
